Phil Wickham - Hallelujah

I love how he totally gets into the song 100 percent! I feel exhausted when he's done with this song! Haha!

Divine Romance - Intro

I love this song...it's so beautiful in every way!

Phil Wickham - "True Love" live - in studio

So I decided that instead of just telling you about Phil Wickham...I would post some of his stuff. =-)

Amos 4:13

He who forms the mountains,
creates the wind,
and reveals his thoughts to man,
He who turns dawn to darkness,
and treads the high places of the earth-
the Lord God Almighty is His name.

Snowing and Blowing.

It's snowing. And it's REALLY windy...like a blizzard almost. WHY does it always snow on a weekend? Why not the middle of the week? It always snows when we're planning on going somewhere. And today we were supposed to go to a family Christmas party. (my dad's side of the family) They decided not to cancel it..but it is postponed until tomorrow..if the weather is nice. Which it's supposed to be. So that probably means that it won't be. Because the weather people never get it right! Grrr....

I'm bored right now. I need to think of something to do besides waste my time sitting around on a computer all day.
Goodbye for now.

At least I have some Phil Wickham Christmas music to listen to. That should cheer me up.
I LOVE his CD. His voice is so beautiful, haunting, and passionate. He's a lot of fun to watch sing, too. If you get the chance, I highly encourage you to go look him up on YouTube. =)

YOU

You are my bread and my water.
My sunlight and shade.
You are my strength in the morning,
And my rest where my head is laid.
You are the rain in this desert.
You are my fire when I feel cold.
You give me a calm in my spirit,
And the courage to be bold.
You give me strength when I'm weak.
You give me the words so I can speak.
You've given me a purpose in your mysterious plan.
But you've given me wisdom so I can understand.
No question is too hard for you,
No burden too great.
No temptation too strong for me,
Because You, Lord, are my escape.
I call out Your name,
and faithfully You're there.
You're with me every moment,
So You hear my every prayer.

Enchiladas... oh how I love thee.

I absolutely love these enchiladas! They are SO good! I made them by myself this time...and it took me forever because I was afraid I would mess up. So I checked and re-checked the amount of seasonings a dozen times. Ha ha! Usually I have my sister, Alex, do that part for me. She does all the measuring and I do the stirring.  And then I leave her to clean up the messy kitchen while I walk around and pretend to be doing something. Hee,hee!
It took me probably 2 and 1/2 hours by myself. They aren't really THAT hard to make...it just took that long because I haven't made them in forever.
I wish I had more pictures of them...but we were starving and couldn't wait anymore!

Thanksgiving Dinner

I LOVE mashed potatoes!

Yes, I did go back for another plate after these two. Haha! How could I not...it was Thanksgiving!
I also had a dish of vanilla ice cream for dessert. Ice cream is a good thing to eat when you feel so full you might explode! It's light and refreshing. :)

Relaxation

Today my youngest sister gave me an hour long back/shoulder/neck massage. It was WONDERFUL.  =)
She put some kind of oil on my back, and then some soft cream/lotion stuff. Then she washed it off with a hot cloth. It was so relaxing! *Sigh*
She normally wouldn't give me that long of a massage..but I paid her ten dollars to do it. That's what she was charging for it..and I figure that it's pretty dirt cheap compared to if i had gone to get it done professionally . Then it would have cost me probably 60 bucks.

Tomorrow I'm going for an eye appointment to get my eyes checked and pick out some new glasses. I'm so excited! I have an idea of what I'm looking for...but i have such a hard time deciding between different choices. I think I  have hypobulia (the inability of making quick decisions). Ha ha!Hopefully...hopefully...hopefully...it won't take me long to find what I'm looking for. =)

I'm hoping to post the after pictures of the Dharma van soon...but I'm having problems with my camera. I took the pictures...but my memory card deleted them all. NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very upset. Especially since i had some really beautiful scenery pictures i had taken a few nights ago. I hope that i can find out what is wrong with it soon.
:(

There is power in the name of Jesus

There is power in the name of Jesus,
God's only begotten son.
People say there are many gods,
but I know there's only one.
There is power in the name of Jesus,
The holy Lamb who was slain.
And because of His sacrifice,
I'll never be the same.
He took the sins of all the world,
and on His back they were laid.
He took the debt that was mine,
and now it's fully paid.
With all the sinners redeemed,
I'll join in and sing.
We'll shout praises aloud to Christ our King.
For Jesus Christ,
the bread of life,
He died and rose again.
Now He rules forever.
Hallelujah and Amen.

The making of our very own DHARMA DAYS LOST van. =)

Here's what it looked like before we started.

This is the opposite side.
This is the green mold/rusty stuff we had to scrape off before we could start painting.

This is a close up of the nasty stuff. GROSS!
See the "hatch" doors? They have a nice padlock  on them to keep the hostiles in. Hee,hee!

Here is a picture AFTER we scraped off the green gunk.

Here we are starting to paint the roof.  Notice i'm wearing a bandana...in honor of the Dharma Days. It  reminds me of the one Juliet wears when working on the cars. :)

The top is finished!!!

April is starting on the main color of the van..BLUE!

April and Laynie are very excited by the progress we're making!

I will post more pictures soon of the finished project. It turned out SO great!!!

Cozy Kittens

This is my pretty little ragdoll, Anika. She HATES getting her picture taken.

My adorable, soft, delicous, cozy, sweet, precious baby Sox.

This is Bunny. He's so cute!

Cookie is wanting to join Anika in the clubhouse...but he's afraid to pass her. She is cranky!

He's still trying to decide what to do.

He decided it wasn't worth it. Haha! Isn't that the cutest face ever!?

Bunny is looking pretty chubby and fluffy. I just wanted to EAT him!

Anika is NOT amused by the boys.

Cookie coming to snuggle. :) He's very cozy.

Fall Beauty

Okay, so this isn't the poem I was talking about in my earlier post...but it is one I found from a few years back.

Crisp, fall air gently cools my face.
Vibrant colors surround me in this place.
Red, yellow, orange, and brown.
I sit upon the fallen leaves covering the ground.
In this place of solitude, who could possibly frown?
I sit in the silence and pretend I'm alone.
But smile at the rabbit who crawls out of her home.
I hum along with the birds as they sing their song.
And wish I could stay here all day long.

Autumn Leaves

Okay, so I took some pictures today as promised! I took oodles of them, so these are just a few.

October

I just have to say that today is amazingly beautiful! I would have some pictures to go along with this post..but my camera's batteries are dead. Maybe I can take some pictures tomorrow.
The leaves seemed to have changed color overnight! When exactly did this happen? It's so pretty! And there is NO breeze outside (which pretty much NEVER happens at our house. So this is a miracle.) but the air is not too cold and not too warm. Just perfect for a jacket. Crunchy leaves are covering the ground perfectly! I can hardly stand it, it's just so beautiful!
It reminds me of a poem that I wrote for school a long time ago. It was a poem about Autumn...but I can't remember how it goes. If I happen to find it then I will post it.

I hope you are all enjoying this weather as much as I am!

A Thousand Songs

Dry parched lips and a thirsty tongue.
A thousand songs still waiting to be sung.
I lift up my eyes to the heavens above.
My King is rich in mercy, power, and love.
You may scoff, but to you this promise I make...
When Jesus comes back, the whole universe will quake.
The heavens will open, His glory revealed.
Every tongue will confess Him Lord,
And every person before Him kneel.
He will quench the parched lips of the sinners redeemed,
And we'll all join the angels and together sing.
He will satisfy the thirst of His beloved's tongue.
Then we'll lift up in praise,
the thousand songs that were waiting to be sung.

Jeremiah 50:33-34

This is what the Lord Almighty says:
The people of Israel are oppressed,
and the people of Judah as well.
All their captors hold them fast,
refusing to let them go.
Yet their Redeemer is strong;
the Lord Almighty is his name.
He will vigorously defend their cause
so that he may bring rest to their land,
but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

Forget And Not Slow Down

How many times can I push it aside?
Is it time I befriended all the ghosts of all the things that haunt me most,
So they leave me alone.
Move on with my life.
Be certain the steps of left to right don't fight the direction of upright.

I'd rather forget and not slow down.
Than gather regret for things I can't change now.
If I become what I can't accept,
Resurrect the saint from within the wretch.
Poor over me and wash my hands of it.

It's time to decide
which is out of my mind.
'Cause it'll be me unless I put some thoughts to rest and leave some faults behind.
I'll watch the glint in my eye,
shine off the spring in my step.
And it could be blinding depending on the amount of You that I reflect.

'Cause I could spend my life just trying to sift through what I could've done better
but what good do what ifs do?
Oh, oh,
Oh, oh.
There's something I should tell you now.

I'd rather forget and not slow down
Than gather regret for things I can't change now.
If I become what I can't accept,
resurrect the saint from within the wretch.
Pour over me and wash my hands of it.

Let Your grace and mercy be my song

A healing flood of Your holy blood,
washing my spirit clean.
Faith that's sure and a hope that's the cure,
but both cannot be seen.
A love so real and a presence I feel,
nothing can satisfy this way.
In the face of fear I know He's there.
I choose to trust Him and obey.
My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak,
so I will stop to listen and refuse to speak.
Life right now is in a daze,
Only a poor reflection through the haze.
What I see in part, soon I shall fully know.
For now I'm only a seed, but I'm ready to grow.
So take my whole heart, every part.
Let every evil way inside of me depart.
I'm thirsty and starving for you,
Lord please rend my heart and make it new.
Demolish the walls,
but polish the halls.
Sit on Your throne where You belong.
Let Your grace and mercy be my song.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

Thus says the Lord:
"Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the Lord exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight," says the Lord.

Psalm 119: 129-136

Your testimonies are wonderful;
Therefore my soul keeps them.
The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
I opened my mouth and panted,
For I longed for Your commandments.
Look upon me and be merciful to me,
As Your custom is toward those who love Your name.
Direct my steps by Your word,
And let no iniquity have dominion over me.
Redeem me from the oppression of man,
That I may keep Your precepts.
Make Your face shine upon Your servant,
And teach me Your statutes.
Rivers of water run down from my eyes,
Because men do not keep Your law.
