Lord, I know You're listening
My bones they are weary.
My strength almost gone.
My heart it is hurting.
Why does time take so long?
The pain closes in on me every day I arise.
I long to be rid of it.
I'm just so sick of its lies.
Oh Lord, I know You're listening.
Please show me Your truth.
Help me to believe even when I don't see the proof.
Please help me fight the war within me,
Because right now I'm just so tired.
Hold safe my deepest dreams and plans and be my heart's one desire.
Dry my tears and calm all my fears and teach me to depend on You.
No one else in this world loves me like You and always tells me what's true.

Eyes Opened Wide and Mystified
Well another year has rolled around. Tomorrow is my birthday and I will turn 21. I can hardly believe it! As I get older each year seems to go by faster and faster. There are things I thought I would get done before my next birthday..and that was a whole year ago...and they still aren't done. Ha,ha! But I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. This next year of my life I hope to not put so many things off for a later time. So often I just think.."I should do this or that" and then my response is, "I'll do it sometime soon." I am now getting to the point where I'm tired of being this way. This year I hope to get more things done. I have so many projects I want to work on and create. And so many different things I want to learn. I am going to try to live more in the moment instead of just pushing things aside for later. I am going to try to take the days God has given me and enjoy them with eyes opened WIDE and MYSTIFIED. I pray this year I grow closer to God in every area of my life. I was reading a day or two ago and came across this verse.. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.." James 4:8 And in Jeremiah 29:13 "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." I pray this year and this day that my eyes will see clearer, my heart be enlarged, my ears be quick to listen, and my spirit willing to obey, and my mind focused on the ways and words of God that they be not soon forgotten.

A Prayer Poem. 6-21-11
Please give me strength in this time of weakness.
Give me a warrior's heart to beat just for You.
Ignite my spirit with Your fire.
Pushing forward so I'll be found true.
Being faithful with whatever You give me,
whether it be large or small.
Still I don't need to be afraid if I fail,
for I know You'll pick me up if I fall.
Give me courage to be strong and bold.
For the prize outweighs any silver or gold.
Someday seeing You face to face.
But for now just basking in Your grace.
The depth of Your love is more than I can fathom.
Knowing You shed Your precious blood for me as a ransom.
Your sacrifice has brought life and healing to my soul.
Now Your love and peace make my heart whole.

Happy Resurrection Day!
True Love---by Phil Wickham
Come close listen to the story
About a love more faithful than the morning
The Father gave His only Son just to save us
The earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt the Fathers Broken Heart
Tears were filling Heaven's Eyes
The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died
Search your heart you know you can't deny it
Come on, lose your life just so you can find it
The Father gave His only Son just to save us
The Earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt The Fathers broken heart
Tears were filling Heaven's Eyes
The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died

When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died
Now, Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Oh, He is alive
He rose again
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died

Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross in my place. Your love is beyond my understanding. Thank you most of all, for rising again with victory over death! I love you.

Just a little something that I wrote...
Here's my heart. Please let it be always only, Lord, for Thee.
Now take this heart. Hold it safe for me. Keep it under lock and key.
When it beats let it be just for You.
Search my heart. I pray it be found true.
My life seems to be swirling around me.
But I am not lost. It is You who have found me.
When my enemies on every side begin to surround,
You are my strong fortress when I get overwhelmed.
This life is but a day, It passes in a hurry.
Life is too short to get bogged down with all this worry.
You are God and that is enough.
You're with me always and won't leave when things are rough.
I'm not sure if it's finished yet, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Isaiah
But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me."
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me."--Isaiah 49:14-16
"Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon his God."---Isaiah 50:10
For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her wast places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody."--Isaiah 51:3

In Your Hands
I feel helpless with each new senerio as I think it through my mind.
Never knowing what will happen at any given time.
Sometimes I forget You've got the whole world in Your hands.
Whatever the world throws in the way will be worked according to Your plans.
If You're strong enough to hold the earth up in space,
Then You're strong enough to help me through whatever I face.
You are a God of judgment and mercy, power and love.
And You proved this by sending down Your Son from above.
Your grace is so radient. Your love is so deep.
Your presence is with me through my every joy and defeat.
Your spirit calms my soul giving me peace oh so sweet.
You alone know my thoughts and answer when I call.
You know all my secrets to You I can tell them all.
Your glory surrounds me and it is divine.
Echoing loudly through space and through time.
Of You all creation testifies and sings of Your praise.
And will continue to do so for the reast of its days.

Expectations
I would like to share something from a book I was reading by one of my favorite authors, Sigmund Brouwer. It's from a book called SHORT CUTS from the Accidental Detectives kids series. In this particular book, Sigmund writes a short story and then the next chapter he gives his own thoughts behind the story.
In one of these segments he talks about expectations. Here is part of that chapter.
Life is difficult.
"This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we see, truly see, this truth, we rise above it. Once we truly know that life is difficult---once we truly understand and accept it---then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters."
If, like me, you prefer fast-paced books and movies with car chases, shooting, and pretty women, you may have raced through those first five sentences above, written by M. Scott Peck, M.D., in his book THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED. I think I can promise, however, that if you understand and remember those five sentences, you will be granted a tremendous freedom.
Expectations.
I would appreciate it if you would read Dr. Peck's five sentences again. Slowly.
Expectations.
If you expect it to be cold, and you dress warmly, it's not a big deal. But if you go to Hawaii and have to shiver on the beach during a snowstorm, you'd be extremely disappointed.
If you plan a two-mile hike and are still walking twelve miles later, you'll be disappointed. And so forth.
If you expect life to be a breeze, if you think life should be easy, then you will be forever disappointed, because LIFE IS DIFFICULT. Always. When you finally accept that life will always be difficult--that when no sooner have you overcome one hurdle then you will be faced with another---it no longer matters that life is difficult: it no longer frustrates you. You simply begin to overcome the next hurdle, with gratitude for any rest between.
Life is difficult, and once we accept it, we rise above the difficulties.
I was reading this and I just had to stop and think about it a minute. It wasn't really anything I hadn't heard before....but it was something that I had forgotten. Often I complain and ask God "Why does life have to be so hard?" And often it's something small and insignificant that I'm complaining about. That's why it is important to remember that life is difficult....but God is right there with us the whole way. He will give us strength, guidance and the rest and peace that we crave..if we trust in him and depend on him to see us through every hurdle and challenge we face.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Phil Wickham - Hallelujah
I love how he totally gets into the song 100 percent! I feel exhausted when he's done with this song! Haha!
Phil Wickham - "True Love" live - in studio
So I decided that instead of just telling you about Phil Wickham...I would post some of his stuff. =-)
Amos 4:13
He who forms the mountains,
creates the wind,
and reveals his thoughts to man,
He who turns dawn to darkness,
and treads the high places of the earth-
the Lord God Almighty is His name.
creates the wind,
and reveals his thoughts to man,
He who turns dawn to darkness,
and treads the high places of the earth-
the Lord God Almighty is His name.

YOU
You are my bread and my water.
My sunlight and shade.
You are my strength in the morning,
And my rest where my head is laid.
You are the rain in this desert.
You are my fire when I feel cold.
You give me a calm in my spirit,
And the courage to be bold.
You give me strength when I'm weak.
You give me the words so I can speak.
You've given me a purpose in your mysterious plan.
But you've given me wisdom so I can understand.
No question is too hard for you,
No burden too great.
No temptation too strong for me,
Because You, Lord, are my escape.
I call out Your name,
and faithfully You're there.
You're with me every moment,
So You hear my every prayer.

There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus,
God's only begotten son.
People say there are many gods,
but I know there's only one.
There is power in the name of Jesus,
The holy Lamb who was slain.
And because of His sacrifice,
I'll never be the same.
He took the sins of all the world,
and on His back they were laid.
He took the debt that was mine,
and now it's fully paid.
With all the sinners redeemed,
I'll join in and sing.
We'll shout praises aloud to Christ our King.
For Jesus Christ,
the bread of life,
He died and rose again.
Now He rules forever.
Hallelujah and Amen.
God's only begotten son.
People say there are many gods,
but I know there's only one.
There is power in the name of Jesus,
The holy Lamb who was slain.
And because of His sacrifice,
I'll never be the same.
